What is a Mucocele?
A mucocele is a small, painless swelling in the mouth caused by the blockage or rupture of a minor salivary gland duct. They are often found on the lips, cheeks, or floor of the mouth. Although benign, they can interfere with chewing, speaking, and cause discomfort if left untreated.
Why Choose Laser Excision for Mucoceles?
At Dr. Chatterjee Dental Clinic, we use advanced dental lasers to safely and effectively remove mucoceles. Compared to conventional scalpel surgery, laser excision offers many benefits:
✅ Minimally Invasive – No stitches required in most cases
✅ Painless Procedure – Less discomfort during and after surgery
✅ Minimal Bleeding – Laser seals blood vessels instantly
✅ Faster Healing – Patients recover more quickly
✅ Better Precision – Laser targets only affected tissue, sparing healthy areas
✅ Reduced Risk of Recurrence
