TMJ Disorders

Headache, migraine, neck and shoulder pain, ear pain and vertigo can result from the way our teeth bite!!!

It all depends on the position of our jaw joints (TMJ) when our teeth come into fully closed bite.

The joint should remain in their normal fully seated position when teeth come into maximum contact .But if the teeth positions make the joint shift from the seated position to allow complete teeth contact a disharmony result. All the three components of our jaw system namely the jaw joints(TMJ),the muscles and the teeth can be damaged.

Self assess  with the following signs and symptoms:

2.Muscle spasm can express as painful muscles ,headaches, ear pain, blocked ears, noise in ear or vertigo,  sinusitis like pain and neck and shoulder pain.

3.Teeth damage can show increased wear, sensitivity to hot and cold, mobility or loosening ,drifting or flaring and erosions near the necks of the teeth and thickening of the bone around the teeth.
